About the Programme

Develop your understanding of the critical risks that banks face in the current climate and the regulations implemented to ensure the stability of the banking sector.

On this programme, you’ll learn online from industry practitioners and gain the practical skills you need to help your organisation become more risk aware.

If you have recently entered the banking and finance sector – or have had to take on more risk responsibilities in your role – you need a solid understanding of:

RRB will give you a fundamental knowledge of the critical risks that banks face in the current climate – and the regulations implemented to ensure the stability of the banking sector.

If you decide to continue your studies, you can use RRB towards your Professional Diploma in Banking and Finance (PDipB&F), which is the first stage towards  chartered status with The London Institute of Banking & Finance. 

Studying

RRB consists of one module, teaching: 

  • bank regulation and risk management 
  • contemporary developments in regulation and risk oversight 
  • credit, market, financial and operational risk. 

You can register and start the course when you’re ready. Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to a tutor-supported forum and you’ll receive the following materials:  

  • online study materials 
  • study planner 
  • unit syllabus 
  • specimen paper 
  • videos and audio materials 
  • access to our virtual library, KnowledgeBank. 

You will have 12 months to complete your studies and sit the exam. You will then be assessed by a 90-minute multiple-choice exam.
